Hi there.
Japan's gym tournaments will have a new booster pack containing one of seven promo cards. The booster packs are available in Japan as of November 1, 2026.
The seven promo cards are:
- Golett (new art)
- Gastly
- Hariyama
- Energy Recycler
- Gywnn
- Mega Heatran ex (New)
- Lebanne
Mega Heatran ex
Mega Heatran ex is a bulky Basic Mega Pokemon. It has 300 HP and Metal typing that is weak to Fire. The Metal typing is weird as Heatran is also a Fire type but the card designers made it Metal weak to Fire.
The High Density Armor works when this Mega Heatran ex has full HP. It takes 60 less damage from the opponent's attacks.
Gigantic Press requires 3 Metal Energy to deal 140 damage. During your next turn, this attack does 140 more damage.
The 4 retreat cost on this is not great. Until next year, you do have Latias ex to provide free retreat for Basic Pokemon.
For the attack cost, this Metang with Metal Maker helps. Phillipe is something worth considering too.
I don't know if this card will be good upon release outside of Japan. A lot can happen in the metagame once this card is available. I do think it is worth testing Mega Heatran ex with Metal themed decks.
Lebanne
Lebanne is an interesting healing supporter card. You flip one coin. If you get Heads, you heal 150 damage from your Active Pokemon. If you get Tails, then you heal 30 damage instead.
A Heads from the coin flip is like the ACE SPEC Pokevital A. Getting Tails is like getting a
This Lebanne card is not for all decks. Certain niche decks that have wall & stall strategies may use this card.
