Hit the road Jack....
Who doesn't feel like hitting the road on a superb Saturday afternoon in autumn... The weather was so sublime today I wish I had a week to spend going to all the best west coast spots that I've not visited in years.
I spent most of the day seeing the family and catching up on 18 months of not seeing one another and sharing snippets of life that's not been shared in what feels like forever.
My mom fetched me this morning and we ran some errands in town and quickly paid a visit to our storage unit where i realized I'm gonna need the boys to help me get to all my winter apparel. I just wasn't in the mood for struggling with the furniture and boxes today so decided I'll survive until I have hubby and the Xman here to help a girl out.
As my parents live in Velddrif and in-laws in St Helena Bay on the west coast it makes for lekker drives and fond familiar sights bringing up long forgotten memories.
It's always been another of my favorite places to spend time.
I finally got a car...😂 The citi golf we bought our daughter last year which meant I felt like a proper youngster again today... 😂 No radio, no aircon, no electric window buttons and my ultimate horror... No little USB plug to charge my phone... 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Oh the fond memories.. 😂 Hubby's first car when we started dating was a yellow citi golf.. 😂 My lips are sealed. 😉
Anyhow... I kept sticking it in reverse instead of 1st gear and i was constantly amazed that it only has 4 gears.. 😂 No 5th..but it goes like a Boeing so no complaints.
It's been a long tiring day and thus I'm once more late in posting... I'm saying hello and goodnight in one go. 😁
