A bit late but nevertheless... We had a very strange and stressful Sunday yesterday. Literally dodged another lockdown bullet, at least for the time being.
Hello everyone!
As this Sunday draws to a close we sit down and take a deep breath! This morning we dodged another lockdown when it was announced that Mauritius has currently got 8 active covid19 cases and all incoming flights have been paused for the coming week. People stormed to the shops to stock up in a frenzy of panic buying. Rumors of a nationwide lockdown abounded for a couple of hours until the prime Minister announced otherwise at 1pm this afternoon. We sighed a huge sigh of relief and gave thanks that it didn't come to pass.
Hubby and I had an interesting day..after a lovely wet and wild beach walk to check out the effect of tropical storm Iman and a late brunch, I'm not ashamed to admit that we also dashed to the local shop for necessities as I never went to the shops last week. 😅 We then had to make a trip to the airport to drop his crew off as they had to travel to Jakarta via Dubai, going home for the first time in over 2 years. Enroute we encountered heavy rains and many Maha Shivaratri floats and processions. I managed to grab some photos and videos which I will share with you guys tomorrow. 😉
For now... Chilling on the couch. Hubby's cooking supper. I've got a gin and tonic so I'm happy 😊.... 😂 Sunday night quiet time.
