Good morning everyone!
Sjoe. When hubby is around he tires me out in 60 seconds flat.. 😂 Too much to do and too little time to do it in. Story of our lives as he's prepping and pressing to get going again by tonight.
So we've had him home since Monday evening and by tonight he'll be gone again if all works out well with his preparations and hard work he's put in. He has to fit in one more trip before our India shenanigans because once he leaves the boat won't be working or earning money. Doing what he does is not easy and I take my hat off to him for working so hard to care for us.
Recently the day to day running of the boat has shifted to his shoulders too so now I see him putting in double time when he's on shore. I try and help where I can but most of it is a man's job.
In our little family we've each got our roles to play and I am so grateful that our children can often take over where mom and dad's too busy otherwise to help. Hubby and I were discussing this last night as our kids always rally to help where they can and to step in when necessary.
Yesterday I went to help hubby and the girl-child was left with the bankcard and a list of things to do and utilities and stuff to go pay. It was fantastic for me because it sure took a load off my shoulders knowing stuff was getting done.
The Xman had a long day at the college but he's got his own list of responsibilities once he gets home daily.
To me this makes our family special. I know one of these days our kids will be off and I will miss their help and support and them just being around. They really do me proud.
Anyhow, I've got to shelf the tired until hubby's gone tonight and get myself to Port Louis. I've been promised a free lunch if I get there in time.. 😁 😉
