We did it. We went 30 days with only cash!

I say Yes!
You are probably sick of seeing posts about this cash only experiment my wife and I ran for the whole month of Jan. So I guess we actually did it for 31 days.
Here are few final notes to wrap up this up.
It felt limiting at the end. There were a few times where it sure would have been nice to break out he credit card.
It was harder on me than on my wife. She found it good to think about how much we were saving. I hated having to go get cash when I ran out.
We ended up saving around 35% over usual months. I think this will continue since we realize that we were over spending. It will be around 25% saving over the usual month for Feb.
People laugh at you. We live in a plastic world here. People almost seem confused by the cash when I pull it out.
I have had 2 other people at work who are going to do it in Feb. They want to see how it plays out for them. Interesting learnings. I will do it again next January. Stay tuned and upvote all my posts in between now and then. LOL
