Let’s take a quick look at the cars I have driven.
2003- 1977 3 on the tree Chevy truck. Loved this thing. It was a old forest ranger truck. You did not need a key to start it and nobody would ever think of taking it because it was soo ugly. I worked for my grandpa and he let me drive it for all of high school.
Does anyone remember the 3 on the tree trucks??
2010- 1990 Chevy manual transmission truck.
2013 - 2002 honda accord.
I still drive this accord. It’s runs and runs and runs. I hope it never dies. It’s been 9 years and I’ve never put money into it.
My dad had a rule. “Never drive a car that was made in the same decade you are living in.”
Sooooo... I stopped by a car dealership this week to fix my wife’s van. I wandered over the to “sales” side of the dealership and was instantly attacked. I was blown away by how much people are paying for cars these days.
Moral of the story. Drive old cars and save money! This is my best financial advice.
