I broke down and decided to go have one lesson with a
pro. I wanted to see if they could actually teach me how to hit a ball. It was very informative and it feels like they broke my swing completely.
by the end of the hour, I was hitting the ball straighter. I was hitting the ball just as far. The ball was going the same distance almost every swinging, and the variants was way better.
I have a lot of work to do. And I don’t have enough money to do work with the pro every day. But I think that I can improve a lot just from this one hour that I spent with him. I actually set up a video camera and filmed most of the lesson with audio so that I’ll be able to go through it again as I go to the driving range and work on my shots.
the main focus that he changed in my swing was shortening it. I didn’t realize that I was doing such a big swinging compared to what a lot of the pros do.
last week I golfed nine holes and I got a 55. I’m gonna go to the driving range a couple times over the next few weeks and then try and golf again and see what my new score is.
Love golf season.
With my company discount I can golf 9 holes for $9 at the local course. Pretty good deal and great place to practice.
it made me realize that one hour with the trained professional can be worth a lot. Makes me wonder where else I can spend one hour with a professional and improve on other parts of my life.
