For today's travel blog of mine is quite challenging since the place I went was in abandoned hatchery farm here in the Province of Misamis Oriental. This site was completely abandoned many years already and it is covered with lots of wild grass and tall trees. San Jose Aqua Farm is one of the hatchery here in Lugait, Misamis Oriental it produced lots of prawns and fish that day but now, the hatchery was completely shutdown leaving lots of abandoned structures built at the place. Small wooden boats are very usable that day specially when personels are went to the sea just to check the big main pipes use to get lots of sea water. But now, those small wooden boats are also abandoned and slowly destroyed placing near at the abandoned structure.

### Laboratory Structure: ![IMG_20260514_062023.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmSgUQBXBgCkSQ8rSDgsQca1u4bGichdUfvCsCm3ACK9LR/IMG_20260514_062023.jpg) This is the laboratory structure built inside of the site, it is made of solid concrete including walls, floors and even rooftop. They built this in this kind of design so strong winds cannot destroyed the structure that is why concrete rooftop is very important and perfect to built. This structure was built 25 years already. Broken glass windows and rusty metals that supported the ceilings so it wont broke. A few cracks at walls shows because of the strong earthquakes happens here. ### Sleeping Quarters: ![IMG_20260514_061610.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmcKyLsHcm1oeLpmzy4mjjwYK7XnNCXNPsi25C63gEyZ2G/IMG_20260514_061610.jpg) This is the sleeping quarters of the workers here that time, it is made of light materials like plywoods, lumbers and plainsheets. It is built near at the laboratory and served as a guard house to all facilities. ### A Very Old Concrete Stairs: ![IMG_20260514_061751.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPrGry9zBgqMgiJkXo7y2w5qwwg1Nf2ndnbbPQxXhZAVS/IMG_20260514_061751.jpg) This very old concrete stair case leads down to the shore. It took almost 5 minutes of walking from this stairs and it contains 100 staircases. Because of many years abandoned, the structure are now covered with wild grass and small tree plants. Here in the site, there are two concrete stair case built but the other one is now completely covered with wild grass and cannot be accessible anymore. ### The Main Canal: ![IMG_20260514_061929.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmTZKFQSv6fJMKbuZ8EDS2ah4NjaT1N2XFwqM2F8rd9jof/IMG_20260514_061929.jpg) The draining water from the concrete fish tanks are all flows down here in this big canal. It is made of solid concrete including the sidings and flooring of the place. It leads down to the big and deep safety tank. There is also few concrete post used to build fence are at the place near at the canal but it was not completely built. Some of the tanks are now completely covered with tall trees and wild grass creating a big cracks on the structures. It is painted with white paints and lots of tubes installed. This hatchery produced thousands of small prawns to be shipped and exported to other countries. This tanks holds lots of streamers-like so the dirt in the sea water from the sea can stock in here avoiding to filled at the fish tanks. This hatchery contains this unique structures that helps to have a good quality of products and specimens.
