But, who is Lijdel ? I'm hearing you asking that in your head...
You will get it fast enough, she's the lady on the drawing. But to know more about her... ha haaa, you will have to read the story ! ^^
Let's go for the drawing. Lijdel appears among the trees, in the morning.
Here is the first draft :
This charachter, Lijdel, will be very important in the story, so I chose very carefully her outfits from different models, even if the charachter will be small in the drawing since this first meeting is distant :
Now, let's ink the drawing :
This situation is supposed to take place early on the morning, so it will be a lot of blue in the colors for the background and the shadows, to try to get a special light.
Then, it's a lots of efforts for each tree and the details of branches... (and yes, this damn paper rolls up with the water, since I made the mistake to tear it off from the pad... ^^)
And after last shadowings and the details for the charachter... it's done ! With a great and simple technique I discovered by accident : with only water on the brush, I can remove some ofthe previous color on the paper - and so I create the sunbeams easely !
