According to source, the LA Lakers are on the move on speaking with 8-time NBA All Star Center, Dwight Howard.
As most of us know, Dwight Howard had played a season with the Lakers with superstars Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. That team was the supposed to be rival of the Miami Heat's Big 3 of Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh. Unfortunately, the Lakers' Big 3 did not became a big hit since there was some sort of misunderstanding between the stars and a conflict of Bryant and Howard had happened. The Lakers were swept by the Spurs that season since it was that season where Kobe had his Achilles' injury.
Now,the Lakers had formed another big 3 for the upcoming season composed of Lebron James, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. Unfortunately, Cousins had a torn ACL injury and is expected not to play for the entire season.
Lakers have their eyes now on Howard as a replacement for Cousins since Howard can still be a reliable center, defender and rebounder. However, Howard is somewhat different from other center as they can shoot beyond the arc. And shooting has been the case of Howard since it was his main problem through out his career.
But for me, Howard is well suited for the Lakers since shooting from beyong the arc is not a problem for the Lakers right as they have Danny Green and Quin Cook. The Lakers only needed a reliable center that can dominate from the inside together with McGee and Davis. And with a playmaker like Rondo and James, the Lakers could possibly win a title if they acquire Howard who averaged a double-double last season.
But the main question here is, will the Lakers acquire Howard as replacement for Cousins and start their quest for a title? Or Dwight might possibly sign with other teams?
