Well Hivers I wouldn’t normally bother with a service station but the Gloucester one on the M5 is a bit unusual. It’s perfectly situated just over 2 hours up the M5 so a good time to stop and take a break from driving.
From a distance it looks like the Telly Tubbys house with the roof covered in grass and blends in well with the countryside.
So what’s different about the Gloucester Services its got the usual hot food and drinks areas but they are not the usual franchise like Starbucks or Burger King. The cooked food is good quality and always seems to be freshly prepared. Ive never seen the anything that looks like its been on the hot plate for hours unlike some.
But there is also a proper farm shop with a bakers and really good butcher great place to pick up something for the BBQ
One thing I have noticed is the do have a very good range of chilli sauces so I always pick up a couple for 
It’s a bit odd but its obvious that some people at the checkout have come in to go shopping. Unless a French stick 2 bottles of wine and a pile of burgers is the normal motorway shop.
All for now Hivers its time to get back on the road but if your passing on the M5 do stop you wont be disappointed there is a lot mor than coffee and Petrol.
