Greetings, tonight I come to share and tell you a little about these birds that I paint called The Red-headed Piranga or Red-headed Tanager (Piranga erythrocephala), they are from the Cardinalidae family, this bird is only distributed in Mexico. They are olive-brown with yellow, in this species, there is sexual isomorphism where the male has a redhead and claws; Instead of the females they do not have red color as mentioned and their yellow color is located from the forehead to the tail, both have black beaks and legs. It is distributed in mountain forests from the northwest of Mexico to the south of that country, from Sonora, through the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Sierra Madre del Sur, to Oaxaca. As I have already mentioned, it is an endemic bird to Mexico and generally, they are in pairs or small groups.
Saludos, esta noche vengo a compartirles y hablarles un poco de estas aves que pinte llamada La Piranga cabeza roja o Tangara Cabecirroja (Piranga erythrocephala), son de la familia Cardinalidae, esta ave solamente se distribuye en México. Son de color pardo olivo con amarillo, en esta especie existe isomorfismo sexual donde el macho tiene la cabeza y garras rojas; en lugar de las hembras no tienen color rojo como mencione y su color amarillo se ubica desde la frente hasta la cola, ambos tiene el pico negro y las patas. Se distribuye en bosques de montaña desde el noroeste de México hasta el sur de ese país, desde Sonora, a través de la Sierra Madre Occidental y la Sierra Madre del Sur, hasta Oaxaca. Como ya he mencionado es un ave endémica de México y general mente están en parejas o grupos pequeños.
