National Blogging Month?

I recently saw a tweet by @hivetrending that said November was blogging month. I did a little internet search and confirmed November was a "national blogging month" and which ever "nation" might be responsible for the edict isn't immediately clear. So here I am, once again trying to blog a little more frequently on this social network that I spend nearly all of my productive time on... though you wouldn't know it from the amount of posts I make.

So as not to bore anybody I'll try to keep my 30 day challenge to several short topics, 500-1000 words each. Not going to lie, these will most likely be about DAO security, bootstrapping, DEXs, Multi-Signature, etc. But I'll try to get some personal stuff in there as well as a blog or two in Spanish and Portuguese.

Reintroduction

For those that don't want to scroll back 5 years to find my introduction post allow me to reintroduce myself. I'm Steven Ettinger. While I wish that cat wasn't out of the bag with developer arrests in my current field I also doubt I could be any safer as an anon who still carries a phone or sells crypto for fiat. I am an american in the sense I consider the American continents home, and I currently reside in the interior of South America. I speak English and a mixture of Spanish and Portugese that I'm frustratingly aware of as soon as the wrong words leave my mouth. I've been studying Japanese for a long time but can still often understand French easier despite never trying to learn.

In my introduction to steem hive post I said I believe I'll be in space one day and it appears that eventuality is becoming more and more likely. Apart from learning languages I love to travel, and have been living a nomadic lifestyle most of the time. I haven't stayed in one place longer than a year since I've turned 18, and have visited 20-23 countries depending on how you count a visit. I can hold my own in most videogames, can cook fairly well and I enjoy house and rock music; Deftones being my favorite band.

Professionally I started as an electronics technician, moved through nuclear power training, operated 4 reactors across 3 platforms. After a growing detest for red-tape I switched fields to radiation therapy and imaging, then caught the crypto bug where I've been toiling on tooling for the past 5 years.

What I Do Here

I feel like I dream big and work hard. @markegiles and I have been working toward our DLUX platform for a very long time. It's seen it's ups and downs but there is always forward movement. We are responsible for the first DEX here, which autonomously coordinated escrow transfers, and the following DEX which autonomously controls a multi-signature wallet between multiple parties. We built a publishing paradigm as well as a NFT paradigm. This is all available on dlux.io. I've currently been spending most of my time building the SPK network with the 3speak.tv team. Dlux and 3speak both has a need to store files larger than will fit in blog, and this technology will benefit a larger decentralized ecosystem. Soon I hope this all comes together to a more complete experience across all of these platforms. I've open-sourced my DEX/Token called HoneyComb and there are 3 communities currently represented here: DLUX, SPKCC, and DUAT(Ragnarok).

I run a Hive witness, as well as a bigger beefier backup and limited API node to support the needs of the Honeycomb network. I'm also "employed" by Hive through the HoneyComb proposal. Further Witness votes and proposal votes are always welcome in a constantly evolving ecosystem such as this.
