We are celebrating the Philippines' Independence Day today so I thought of writing a post about a day in my country. Two days ago, I finally got to see the dentist in Carcar after months of pain and anguish during the lockdown. Unfortunately for me my dentist required a panoramic dental x-ray and so I didn't have the choice but to go all the way to Cebu City. I crossed several checkpoints during this unplanned 3-hour drive. It felt weird to experience the new normal. My best part of the trip is driving through the canopy of old acacia trees in Carcar. These will always be a welcoming sight to behold on my way home down south to Moalboal. How is your new normal?
