In the last post I made in this community at the beginning of the year, I mentioned that I was going through a very important transition in my life, and that is that I returned to my home country after several years away, away from my family and friends, but I did not mention it with sadness or nostalgia, but with mixed feelings because on the one hand I was leaving behind an adventure in which I was very happy and that I miss right now, while on the other hand I was reuniting with my parents and siblings, which also made me very happy, but unfortunately we can not have everything in life, so we can only be grateful.
So when I am at home, in the afternoon I usually prepare a Guayoyo coffee, and well, I think that is a term that is used here in Venezuela for clear coffee. The preparation is the most frequent and traditional here, you only need ground coffee, boiling water, sugar to taste and a cloth filter to pass the coffee through, you have to remember that it is not instant coffee.
When I was a child there used to be a competition monopolized by the companies "Café Madrid" and "Café Fama de América", both were very good in terms of quality, but at home we always drank the one I show you in the following photo. I must say that since then the quality has decreased, but it is still acceptable. Now there are many other brands of coffee, but regarding those, I will present them in future posts, maybe if you are from here we can debate about it.
For me it is a pleasure to show you the preparation of the coffee that is most commonly prepared in Venezuelan homes, for sure there are different variants that I would like you to share with me, even, I would like to know if this type of coffee is also prepared in your country. It was a pleasure to share, see you soon!
