The artist behind these gorgeous portraits is Burnon / aka Claus Fredriksen. He is a Danish street artist and tatoo artist from Aalborg. As far as I know, he is still living in Aalborg. Each time I visit Aalborg and Karolinelund, he has new murals in this park. I follow him on Instagram so I am able to find out what is new and where.
All of these paintings are found within Karolinelund. This a park in the city center. It has been undergoing rehabilitation for some time now, which has meant less space available to the artists. But even though the park has been more of a construction site for some time, the artists have been active never the less. They ara using the same walls and boards. They are just being repainted.
Burnon is one of the active street artists. On the fence that surround the park, he has painting these two reclining portraits. Through out the years, he has painting many similar reclining portraits of women. It's alway great to be in Aalborg to look at his portraits. I think he is a great artist.
This is also new. An "Aalborg" bus. The city has got a new bus so this is the new bus on the painting. Two weeks ago, the bus was put into use. It is twice as long as a normal bus and can take 150 passengers. The route of runs along the "straight streets". It is so long that all the traffic lights at the intersections must be green or red at the same time for it to cross before the light changes.
