When in Nepal, doing the Everst Base Camp Trek, one of the places we passed on our way back was Tengboche Monestary. It was founded by a Tibetan monk who came from Rongbuk Monastery. Rongbuk is located right next to Mt. Everest Base Camp on the Tibetan side of the mountain. Tengboche is located with an incredibly beautiful view, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
