Este es el primer viaje que hacía para Maracay después de muchos años, y volver para las Duals Battles me permitió volver a caminar por las calles y ver qué tanto ha cambiado, y de verdad que esta ciudad siempre me ha interesado por su ambiente y su cultura, ahora bien después de la competencia y todas las experiencias de ellas solo nos quedaba una, y era poder hacer un paseo y finalizar este viaje con muy buenos recuerdos.
Siendo aún temprano varios atletas y yo nos digamos a ir a desayunar y posteriormente poder caminar y tomar fotos y también hacer algunos estáticos por diversión pues a la final el deporte nos pone muy creativos, y si pude notar una Maracay muy movida y muy viva, pues caminando hasta la plaza Bolivar se puede notar mucha cultura y ese ambiente a arte urbano que es lo que en lo personal quería ver, más allá de ir solo a sitios turísticos quería era ver la ciudad del día a día y sinceramente me encantó mucho.
Pudimos entrar a la Catedral de Maracay que estaba en remodelación, aunque hablando se nos permitió entrar y tomar unas cuantas fotos, pasamos frente a mucho arte urbano también, e incluso nos encontramos con un atleta de la ciudad perteneciente a la comunidad de streetworkout comunnity, y llegando a la Plaza Bolivar poder ver cómo de cuidado estaba, había muchos animales y se notaba el amor y cuidado que le estaban dando.
Fue un paseo corto pues después de eso fuimos a almorzar juntos al resto de atletas que aún se encontraban en la ciudad para posteriormente dirigirnos al terminal y terminar este tan buen viaje. SWC
This was my first trip to Maracay in many years, and returning for the Dual Battles allowed me to walk the streets again and see how much it has changed. I have always been interested in this city because of its atmosphere and culture. Now, after the competition and all the experiences we had, there was only one thing left to do: take a walk and end this trip with very good memories.
Since it was still early, several athletes and I decided to go for breakfast and then walk around, take photos, and do some static poses for fun, because in the end, sports make us very creative. I noticed that Maracay was very lively and vibrant. because walking to Bolivar Square, you can see a lot of culture and that urban art atmosphere, which is what I personally wanted to see. Beyond just going to tourist sites, I wanted to see the city on a day-to-day basis, and honestly, I loved it very much.
We were able to enter the Cathedral of Maracay, which was undergoing renovations, although we were allowed to enter and take a few photos. We also passed by a lot of urban art, and we even met an athlete from the city who belonged to the street workout community. When we arrived at Plaza Bolivar, we could see how well cared for it was. There were many animals, and you could see the love and care that was being given to them.
It was a short walk because after that we went to have lunch together with the rest of the athletes who were still in the city, and then we headed to the terminal to end this wonderful trip.SWC
