I admit when I saw this week's picture prompt I went blank. Maybe it was because of the symbols on the coins.
I stumbled across a fellow writer's post for this prompt and so I would first of all like to say thank you 
My parents used to tell me how valuable coins were during their childhood days. It was their method of payments.
I came into the world when coins "lost their value". It was a time when we kids used it for games.
Finding a coin was like finding a lost treasure. There would be so much glee and excitement attached to it. Back then we devised a lot of games from it, spin the coin, toss the coin and find the coin.
I will tell you how all these were played. Spin the coin as the name implies simply involved spinning the coin. It would be placed on the ground and then someone would spin it. Before hand the two parties involved would have picked a side, heads or tails. Whoever lost would be beaten by the winner of course not violently (lol).
We were kids with a lot of time on our hands and back then technology hadn't already started to take it's toll on us.
Toss the coin was like spin the coin only that the coin was tossed in the air instead of the ground. The same rules still applied.
Find the coin was the most interesting and my personal favorite because it involved a lot of people.
It can be likened to hide and seek, only difference is that the coin is hidden by someone and the others seek it out.
The hider would drop clues and the seekers would try to guess.
I sit here reminiscing and I just really miss the good old days.
When things were still difficult but not at an upgraded level.
Coins may not have had as much values when I was a child as they did years back but they represent a time that holds such beautiful memories as they were a significant part of my childhood and for that I'll be forever grateful to them.
