The first pick of this week's prompt definitely got me intrigued.
The question was put forward...
How do you know you're in love?
What are the signs?

I'll start by saying I've loved but I don't think I've ever been "in love".

Writing even though it had always been there became an actual thing recently. It used to be all about reading. I loved it because I could stay in my room and live hundreds of different lives in a million different places.
From the books I've read, I picked up facts about love or should I say what love should be about.

I've always considered love to be this overwhelming feeling that comes with so much joy and happiness that you can't help but smile whenever you think of that special person.
Character's and their feelings are described so deeply you can almost feel the love seeping out from the books. This is why I know that when I do eventually fall in love I'll know because;

I won't able to stop thinking about the person. I do admit that this is something I've experienced but it was with an inanimate object but I knew it was because I loved it.
Love is extraordinary, I'd feel it constantly, with the urge to always want to be around that person. I'd miss him whenever we are apart and even with the time spent together, it would never feel enough.

This brings me to butterflies in my stomach.
Has anyone ever felt this?, I don't actually know if it's just a phrase or it's something that actually happens.
If it turns out to be the latter then it's definitely something I'd want to experience.

Someone told me once that sometimes you could love so deeply that you care more about the other person's feelings more than your own. This didn't sit right with me. I know it's inevitable, I'd always consider the other party's feelings but not above my own.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Love is like a whirlwind, I've come to realize. It can feel exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time.
A few months ago I was having a conversation with one of my male friends and the issue of love was brought up. He said when a person is in love he or she always seeks to impress the other person be it by putting extra effort into dressing up, talking louder to get noticed. That didn't sound like what love should be about.

I used to watch my parents when I was little argue and I always wondered do this people actually love each other?
I thought love was supposed to be perfect but I know now that I was wrong.
One of my Dad's hobby is to get on my Mum's nerves. He knows she doesn't like it when he leaves his shirt on the chair in the parlor but he does it still just to hear her complain. My mum always falling bait ends up talking and we laugh. And in moments like that I feel their love.

At the beginning of this I said I haven't ever been "in love" because I believe that having that one person that you can't just get out of your head, always craving their presence, always needing to talk even when there really isn't anything to talk about. Just having that one person that drives you absolutely insane but not in a literal way.

It shouldn't be perfect, it can be messy because in the end we ask ourselves....
What is perfect?
Where is perfect?
That's what love should feel like and I've never experienced that with anyone.
I really hope I do but I'm absolutely sure of the fact that I can't miss it when it eventually comes.
