I was surrounded with friends who like adventures and love to try everything. I'm a reserved person, I don't like trying things that much but surrounded with such friends the pressure was so high and unbearable that they made me do a lot of things I wouldn't do if I was alone. My friends keep urging me to try things, because you don't know the one that would work for you and there's never a harm in trying. It looked like a good advice, but this kind of advices came when I refuse to do the bad things they were doing.
I have been pressured into doing so many things I don't want to by my friends, some they succeeded and some they failed because I didn't fall for all. Although I was already taking their advice by trying new things, some are silly and some of them I tried that I feel would be bad later turned out to be a good experience.
"It's not fair hating something I never even tried" I remember thinking to myself but then I knew there was no way I was going to try smoking weed because it just was never going to happen. If I had a list of things I wouldn't do in this lifetime or the next, smoking weed would be among the top things.
The big pressure came.
One day we went for a friends birthday party, they were a lot to drink and eat, we had fun as usual,we played, eat and drank. But the big pressure came when I was told to take alcohol. I used to take alcohol, but not more than what my head could carry. I had already sipped some alcohol but they were telling me to finish a glass of it which I hadn't try before. They brought back there normal quote "There is no harm in trying", so I thought about it for a while and since I was the only one left out, then I made up my mind to do it, there was no point of holding myself, Let's do this, Let's party!.
After taking a glass of Alcohol, the urge came and I decided to take another one, it ended up with me taking more than 3 glass, that was too far from my limit. After a while I became drunk,a new feeling came to me, that feeling of being unstoppable and a person who can try anything without a limit, I said to myself so this is how my friends really wanted me fo feel and it felt good. I danced all over the party that day, I did everything they wanted me, I engaged in every challenged, tried everything my friends wanted me to, although my friends knew I was drunk, but they were still surprised because they haven't seen me in such a mood like that, I was in another planet, that of a warrior who was afraid of nothing.
I was like the most happiest person that night, everybody made me laugh, even when what you were saying wasn't funny I still laughed, no wonder people like to get drunk when they are in a bad mood because that is one of the ways to forget your sorrow. Others that were drunk started misbehaving, some were vomiting and destroying things, but mine wasn't that way, I was just happy and energetic, although I fumbled sometimes but I was still in control myself, everyone have their own way of reaction when they get drunk.
The After Effect.
The feeling felt good, but the next day was like hell. I couldn't do nothing the whole day, I slept throughout, became very weak and then I regretted what I did. after that day I advised myself, yes ut started well but it didn't end well. You don't have to try everything, some things are better learned from the experience of others, you know a gun kills, why still try it on yourself?. Sometimes there is always a harm in trying.
Thank you.
