Remember the time you have to make a decision in life, whether you plan to take a certain course or as simply deciding the type of handphone to buy. Fearing of making the wrong choice, we tend to put of making any decision.
When there is inner conflict, we tend to procrastinate to make any decision. We just put it off until we find the right time to make a decision. We tell ourselves " Never mind, not now".But the fact of the matter is that with each passing time , it's not going to make us any wiser. We are sitting on it because we dread making a wrong decision. Wrong decision that could lead us to losing something. That something could be our money and time. The worst thing that one can lose, is time.Because time once gone, can't be retrieve again.

The next time when you are face with the impulse to put off a decision making, you may consider the following steps to ease your decision making process:-
Step 1 - learn as much as you can on the subject matter.
Fact finding all the details that is required for the decision making. It seems obvious, that we need information before we can make any sound decision. But sometimes what is common sense is not often commonly applied.
Step 2- Consider what will happen if you decide not to do anything.
Sometimes we think that not making a decision we will not lose anything. There are many times I procrastinate because it was not pressing at that time. I remembered once I procrastinated on purchasing my airline ticket to Kuala Lumpur, only to pay a hefty fee as it near the departure date. So not making a decision caused me to foot out on unnecessarily cost of waiting.
Step 3 - set a time to make the firm decision.
I remembered there was time I have always wanted to write a book. This was 10 years ago. After attending a seminar on how to write a book in 2016, I was given an open challenge to take the bold step in committing to it. What cause me to hesitate was that it comes with a very high cost. I had all the information on the package being offered. The ball is in my court now, I had to decide.
I remember telling myself, if I don't make the decision today, another 10 years will go by and still I will not have the book. The money will eventually end upon something else. I close my eyes and told myself , lets get it done. I never regretted that decision because my book is now on it's final stage of editing.
Step 4 - Focus on executing the decision.
The moment you have made the decision , be totally committed to it. Do not doubt your own decision. Have that attitude to make it happen and if the decision made has resulted in a non favourable outcome, learn from it and move on. No point wallowing in mistakes made.
Hopefully with this easy steps, you will be able to be more confident in making a decision. Keep in mind that there is never ever any wrong decisions but only different outcome. Because, looking back in history many good things originate from wrong decisions. If Thomas Edison decided to give up due to numerous failed attempt, we will still be lighting out nights using conventional fuel.
