Hey, y'all!

I know it's been like 2 weeks since I shared something here on Hive. I miss you guys even if you don't miss me ha! Anyway, as expected, I've just been busy at work. My schedule is really crazy. By the time I get home, I'm already exhausted and sleepy. Too tired to write and share my day. But, the good thing is that I was able to adjust to the night shift schedule finally. I wake up every day at an ungodly hour of 1am. I am a certified morning person now!

Today, I am just popping in to share a bit of my week. Well, this is just about work and nothing special. No beach life, boat tours, nature adventures, or anything exciting to share with you guys. I know right, we all miss that kind of life...

Anyway, I just have a bit of a rant here. See, despite working for an international company, some things kinda work in a rural pace if you know what I mean. I mean, I work in a city here on this island so I'm guessing that must be why things are a bit slow. Things take forever, like having my own station, getting the IT guys to install apps that I need, requesting equipment, and so forth. I am still using someone else's computer by the way which I think is crazy. I mean come on, it's been two weeks. I still had to pressure the bosses just to get things done.

I worked for reputable companies in my city back in the day so things are like a "culture shock" for me. I was used to having everything ready for me. I was used to nice work facilities. I was used to good things. But for some weird reason, work stuff is substandard-ish for me. This is not a small company so there's no excuse.

And the worst thing, I am not used to being policed at all. I'd been the ruler of my own life for the past few years so my current work setting feels strange to me. Sometimes, it kinda hurts my ego, to be honest.

I guess we are working on something top secret (ha ha ha) so there are securities everywhere in the building. I can't bring my phone inside unless I am a big boss. I am not allowed to take viral pictures of our working conditions, can you believe that? Ooops I signed a non-disclosure agreement so I am not allowed to elaborate further. But, just to give you an idea, it's a massive cubicle farm. I guess this is how a CEO becomes a billionaire. Maximum profitability. I am just one of the many. Go figure.

Nevertheless, I still have to work. Don't get me wrong, this is just the usual me ranting. So, don't worry, I am not quitting, yet. I mean there's still pandemic right? Because honestly, I am not sure anymore. I am not sure what is happening out there. People seem not to care these days. Life goes on.

It's weekend, that means, doing laundry, running errands, cleaning, staying in, eating, and sleeping for me. But how I wish I can work from home. The work environment is giving me social anxiety. Way too many people. Ugh. Worse, I have to dress up so I don't get policed that much. It actually works.

Anyway, enough about me. How's everyone?

Me chilling with Diablo.
