Hace días que fui a casa de mis padres, y tenía mucho tiempo sin ir para allá.
Me encontré con la sorpresa de que habían sembrado todo el terreno que estaba desierto anteriormente ahora estaba muy bonito.
Mi papá (el hombre que está en algunas de las fotos) hizo surcos.
Estos surcos le costaron bastante trabajo, pero ayudan bastante a que las plantas no se inunden cuando llegan las lluvias.
Especialmente en este mes de diciembre, que practicamente ha llovido todos los días.
Les cuento: Cada vez que llueve, ese terreno tiene el problema de anegarse. Se forman pequeños y a veces grandes charcos.
Anteriormente, mi mamá había sembrado caña de azúcar en todo ese terreno, y habíamos utilizado esa caña para endulzar muchas bebidas y hacer dulces.
Las plantas de caña resistieron bastante el agua excesiva, y aunque a veces el sabor era poco intenso, normalmente eran de buena calidad.
De ahí que se viera la necesidad de hacer los susodichos surcos.
Mi mamá ha ayudado limpiando y sembrando.
Tienen matas de yuca, caña de azúcar, amaranto, granos, plátano topocho, batata, culantro, entre otros.
La verdad es que al principio se veía un tanto deprimente el trabajo, dado que solo eran los surcos, pero ahora que todo se llenó de verde y está dando resultado, mis padres han obtenido una gran satisfacción al ver que sus esfuerzos no han sido en vano.
Así que, si has pensado en sembrar algo en casa y tienes dudas porque no sabes si se va a dar, ¡ánimo! La siembra es un trabajo que da bastantes beneficios, más allá de físicos, emocionales.
Estar en contacto con la naturaleza, trabajar con las manos... todo eso tiene una belleza que no tienen otros tipos de trabajo.

My mother has helped by clearing and planting.
They have cassava, sugar cane, amaranth, grains, plantain, sweet potato, coriander, among others.
The truth is that at first the work seemed a bit depressing, given that it was just the furrows, but now that everything has been filled with green and is giving results, my parents have been very satisfied to see that their efforts have not been in vain.
So, if you have thought about sowing something at home and you have doubts because you don't know if it is going to work, take heart! Planting is a job that has many benefits, not only physical but also emotional.
Being in contact with nature, working with your hands... all this has a beauty that other types of work do not have.
