Well it is before the crack of dawn at my house, and I haven’t posted in days. So... HI! 👋🏻
Work has been pretty nuts the past couple of weeks. I work in a small team of 10. I have been on the team six years, and am one of the newest. The rest of the crew have all been together with the same big boss for between 13 and 15 years! It is this super rare situation where no one has ever left.
Well wouldn’t you know, our big boss announced his retirement (and subsequent 2 months of vacation before his last day). Then another fellow who has been with our company 18 years put in his two week’s notice! Their departures, being in the middle of a major project and the introduction of a new big boss have made things kind of insane. Plus, my immediate boss is freaking out about the whole thing which adds an extra layer of fun. 🙃
So yes. Less posting, fewer comments, less discord... Hoping things settle soon.
