Today I would like to share a few photos taken during my visit to the exhibition of the Staffordshire hoard.
Staffordshire is a county of England located in West Midlands whose economy is based on agriculture and the manufacture of porcelain.
The treasure was discovered buried beneath a farmer's field, is considered one of the gems of the archeology of Great Britain and consists of 1500 pieces of gold and silver. It dates back to around the 7th Century.

Although most of the pieces have been made in England, objects of Germanic and Scandinavian origin have been found.
Most of the objects are in a good state of conservation stored in small boxes

The most valuable objects are in a special showcase.
Among the objects found are several swords used by warriors and nobles.
The first sword corresponds to a replica while the second is an original sword found in the Staffordshire hoard
