DEXBot Reserve funding and Project Knowledge Retention January 2019
DEXBot Reserve funding and Project Knowledge Retention
January 2019
Permie
DEXBot WP1 has been managed such that the project has progressed so far under-budget. This means we have leftover funds.
We plan to keep approximately $35k as a reserve budget.
Of this we will use $24k over the next 12 months for project retention. We will make sure the DEXBot project is ready to resume at a few days notice.
The remaining $11k we plan never to spend unless on a major bug fix.
We at Dexbot realise the extraordinary down market the Crypto has entered. As we come into the end of our first one year worker proposal, through careful management we have some funds remaining. Given an outstanding worker proposal (WP2) to continue this work, the great progress we have made, and the anticipation that this bear market will eventually turn around we are putting the remaining funds into an emergency maintenance wind down plan. Main programming will stop but some bug fixes, PR, management, website maintenance and more will continue at minimum levels. We anticipate spending roughly 6% ($2000) of these reserves per month to keep a core DEXBot alive to fix bugs, spread awareness and pay management expenses to keep the project ticking over until such time that funding starts flowing again.
Budgets in the wind-down situation are are difficult so we are also allocating $11,000 for expenses as needed. This $11,000 is likely be spent on major unexpected bug fixes or not at all. It will not be spent on paying any Cabinet member wages.
To summarise:
$24k to fund 12 more months of bug fixes and project maintenance.
$11k held separately for emergency expenses.
We the Cabinet have been honored you have allowed us to oversee and supervise this project. And look forward to see crypto turn around and Dexbot WP2 pass.
Thank you.
