Hello All

I am starting to lose some time for playing Splinterlands again, but it is still ok because I still can play for some battles in a day. I have stopped playing Survival mode recently and try to focus all the time I have to play the rank battles.

Once a while I still play foundation battle, and today I just got something that surprised me

Oh wow, VAELOK... This is a new foundation card, because I recall we have no dragon card in foundation edition. So let see what I just hit to get

I got that new foundation card from this Lux's Favor spin. That's the icon, the card. I believe this is a new icon in that wheel, because I do not recall we have that one last week.

I recheck the card again to confirm it is a Foundation card and turn out it is a Foundation card. It has only 4 level for a rare card, or limited to silver league level cap.

So What's Going On Here?

Well actually we have been introduced with this new selection earlier this week. This is the official announcement : @splinterlands/the-arena-vanguard-is-coming-to-splinterlands

We can say that the distribution of these cards will be dominated by our streamers. You can apply to be part of those streamers too, as you all will try buzz out there about these cards.

I try to check the shop section for this Arena Vanguard. It seems we have few hundreds of them and only two cards that are bought at this point.

The first one is Jolius Blast from fire element. This is a good anti magic tank, however you need to consider his "no armor" stat as this makes him vulnerable to range and melee attacks.

However he has enrage and retaliate. If RNG is on yourside, this one can be an OP one. but if RNG plays fair or not on your side, well maybe we can only LOL at him.

The second one is BUNS THE UNSEEN. It is a no brainer move to move for a neutral element unit, as they can join any element if no Modifier prohibits it. There is a catch for this one, if you manage to put armor strike on him, he will get an extra 8 armor attack and that's a lethal one. Else he will hit like a girl lol.

Personally I see this one as a new approach in this game. A secondary anti mage tank, it is a bit weird because what we use to see is anti mage tank that sits on main tank position.

Ok those the two cards that I see people have bought them. I believe all of them are good, not only those two. However one thing you have to remember, you need to get them at max level to have them worthy to play in Rank Battle. Other wise, they won't be able to compete with existing core edition, The Conclave Arcana set.
