Hello all, Welcome to my Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge. This Week we have PRISMOLOGIST as our theme, She is an Epic Rarity Monster of Life Element from Chaos Legion Edition.
Shorten lore:Prismologists are experts at illusory and light-based magic using prisms. Armed with their custom built prism, they bring them to the battlefield to manipulate magic around themselves. Light dances around them in a rainbow of colors as they lay waste to a bloody battlefield.
With General Sloan +1 Range, there are two favorite archers from Chaos Legion. The First one is Pelacor Arbalest due to his double strike and the second is her, Prismologist, due to her Blast Damage. I think Prismologist might be the best damage dealer for your backline in Chaos Legion Edition Life Element. Let see her Strength and Weakness :
PRISMOLOGIST STRENGTH
DECENT RANGE ATTACK. She has a good range damage, starting from 3 and end on 4 damage. It's not something that extraordinary, but I like this number. She can damage every target without having to fear opponent forcefield will deduct the damage to 1.
Blast Ability. The main reason why she becomes everyone favorite is because of her Blast Ability. She is not only delivering a good number of damage, she is also injuring her surrounding target. So technically she will delivering 3 + 2 = 5 damage per turn. Blast is great too to take of opponent Divine Shield so your team mate can injure their target sooner.
Defensive Stats. Unlike Pelacor Arbalest who is vunerable against any kind of attacks, Prismologist has some abilities that make her having better defensive traits than Arbalest. First She has 2 armor, which make keep her safe from physical attacks. She doesn't have to worry against Deeplurker or Dragon jumper which can take any target off in one attempt. She has a forcefield ability on Gold level Cap which make her immune to mega sneak attack from the like of Sandworm. On her highest level, she will be granted Silence Ability, one of the best debuff ability in this game, protecting all your allies from magic attacks.
PRISMOLOGIST WEAKNESS
SLOW. She only has 2 speed. Mostlikely she will move last and fast moving dodgy tank is something that might make her look dumb, missing out her heavy blast attack.
Low Health. She has many defensive traits but that doesn't make her hard to kill. Her Health is low, you might need to consider certain condition such as poison or Noxious Fumes ruleset which can make her dies in 2 turn. Certain Mage such as Magi Necrosi is her worst enemy, because she can die fast from magic attack.

This was a modern format silver league battle rank. This battle had 48 mana cap so both parties came with 6 monsters. I brought big Tank Uriel, He brought big tank Grum Flameblade. Let see how I built my line up first:
| Position | Card | Ability | Plan and Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | -1 range an -1 Speed | Quix the Devious is the first Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner. He is one of the best summoner too, because both of his debuffs are working well making your opponents weaker. If you check on https://summonerlab.com/ He is one of the summoner who has very high win rate | |
| Main Tank | Fly, Recharge, Healing | Uriel The Purifier is the best heavy tank from Chaos Legion Life Element. He has high heath, high armor, healing and good speed with a fly ability to dodge opponent physical attacks. The only weakness he has is his attack type which is a recharge, he will attack once in two turns and this is not a good one during certain condition/rulesets. | |
| Second | Life Leech, Divine Shield | Bila is one of my all time favorite Life Element monster. I think she is one of the best mage too in this game. She hits hard, and leeches opponent's health. One of the best pair with Uriel, when Uriel dies, she will have got a massive health and will be harder to knock down. | |
| Third | Slow | Disputable, She is one of the most dangerous non legendary Life Element Chaos legion monster. For a 4 mana, you can get slow and 2 magic damage and to put it better, he can be played during Little League ruleset too. The only weakness she has is a low health, unless your opponent tem has a monster with opportunity ability, Time Mage will be a pain in the ass for your opponent | |
| Fourth | Tank Heal | Many people have not realized yet that Venari Crystalsmith is one of the core Life Element monsters in Modern Format. She is the only Life element tank healer you can get in modern format that's why she always be my main support monster. It feels bitter if I build up a Life Team without her. | |
| Fifth | Double Strike | My second damage dealer after Bila. Pelacor Arbalest is one of the most lethal range attackers with General Sloan +1 range damage, however I do not use General Sloan now. During Equalizer ruleset where health becomes the same, he is dangerous because none Opportunity attacker will seek him | |
| Last | Blast | My third damage dealer and of course our main theme this week. Initially like her a lot better than Pelacor Arbalest due to her armor, however after several battles I recognize she is a lot stronger and dangerous than Pelacor Arbalest |
In general, I believed my plan was better. I had a laser focused attack, all on their front yard. This would exploit the Cripple ruleset and made opponent's monsters died faster than my team.
Round 5 started with these condition :
I could not see how they could win, so I fast forwarded this battle
This battle started with both party on equal power, but the end was nasty for my opponent:
I won with no causality, everyone on my team survived. Let's appraise each of my team members:
It's too bad Uriel performed superbly and outshaddowed Prismologist performance. However I think Prismologist has done well, 5 turn, 25 damages, killed a target. It's a right choice to have her in my team.
So why my opponent lost that badly?
During Equalizer ruleset, everyone has the same health point. So we need to differentiate by having more armor, healing, tank heal and triage. This is one of the main point where my opponent I can say, make a mistake.
He set up a great team, without Equalizer ruleset definitely I will lose this one. However he did not have any healing or support ability, meanwhile I have Venari Crystalsmith with Tank Heal, and Uriel the Purifier with his Healing. This made a big difference which ended up they could not take down Uriel and lost badly.
I think my opponent ignoring this ruleset. I did not understand why would he bring that Blood Maker, Scatter shot is a great ability however tend to be useless during Equalizer ruleset and often not working well with Cripple.
In the end, Tenyii Striker and Blood maker were two who did not perform well. He could blame this lose to those two.
Quix The Devious is extra ordinary effective, he is not the strongest summoner however he tends to work well in almost all sitution.
In this battle, Quix shut down Lava Launcher, Countess Sinash and Blood maker attack. This is the reason why their archers were so weak, unable to kill any of my members. And Quix is the reason too why my team attacks all landed well, making opponent unable to evade.
Ok that's all my discussion, please leave any message if you think you have something to add to this one.
