Devil Gundam: Thigh Scratch Building [Leg Modification - Part 12]

Hi guys!

Today I will try to make the connector that later will be embedded onto the scratch build thigh. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

This part will be the top cover for the connector. I've trimmed the edges as much as I can.

Then I've cleaned up using file so that the surface is smooth. Because any bumps will show later when I cement the edges to the pla plates.

This is the back side that originally seats behind that first piece I showed you. That small peg is going to hold the polycap that will make the articulation for this thigh.

Since the idea is to take this whole section and embedded it into the scratch build thigh. I am going to prep this piece too.

Now the polycap holder with be cemented on top of the pla plate. The idea is to turn this pieces into a box that later I can just slipped on the center of the thigh.

The polycap will be permanently embedded into the box. However since the whole thing will be embedded into the thigh I'm worried about painting later.

I will let the cement cure properly overnight. Then tomorrow I will continue to make a box from this pieces.

Note that I am using a pla plate that is thinner than the actual pla plates I used for the thigh. If I use the same thickness, the thigh might end up getting to wide and it might not fit the bottom leg. And if that happens I will have to modify the bottom leg.

Since I like where this modification is going, I will start prepping the other piece. So I'm off to trim and sand these other batch
