Devil Gundam: Scratch Building Piston [Leg Modification - Part 39]

Hi guys!

Today I will continue making articulation for the piston and copy paste some details. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

I will start with the main piece and use the same method as yesterday.

As the piston might be slightly different in size I am going to adjust the pla plate manually and test fit it several times.

I mark the center first then using piston as a guide I mark the edges.

Using the first one as a guide I copy the details by marking the edges on the new pla plate. Then carefully trim the edges and drill one hole on the top.

Also, trim the bottom bit to match the tiny legs that will sort of hold the piston in place.

I've test fitted both pla plates on each piston and they fit nicely so now I can start making the articulation.

I will need another 2 sets of pla plates that will be connected through that hole using pla rods.

The on the right is the prototype and I think that is good enough. Now I need to make 3 more of this.

Then connect them with pla rods and cement it to the back end of the thigh. That way the piston will have an articulation.
