Devil Gundam: Redesigning Piston [Leg Modification - Part 26]

Hi guys!

Today I will continue my new piston building with the new method. I really do hope this one will work. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

As I haven't decide the actually length of the piston, I'm going to make a longer piston than I would actually need.

The steps are quite straight forward. First I marked the pla strips I've prepared ealier.

By prepared means, I've sand the surface and edges a little bit. Then simply trim them off the strips as close as I can get.

I start with one batch of pla plates. I cement the pla plates one by one while using the rods to align the holes in between cementing.

As usual I used 2 type of cement, the thin cement will hold the pla plates in place. Then the regular cement will make a stronger bond.

I repeat the process 7 times since this first batch is going to 7 mm long. Then I will let the cement to cure properly overnight as always.

Tomorrow I hope I can trim and file the excess plastic making it round like a piston. Then do a couple of test fits.
