Devil Gundam: Modifying Bottom Leg [Leg Modification - Part 68]

Hi guys!

Today I will do some sketches and start a prototype for the connector between knee and bottom leg. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

I will start with a test fit with the body and new articulation for the legs. To connect the knee I will need to modify the bottom leg a little bit.

The plan is to make a housing with a c-joint hidden inside so the knee can be remove for painting later.

And at the same time I am detailing the bottom leg so this modification should be interesting and challenging at the same time.

Looking at the bottom leg, I think I will detail this part too because after the whole mechanism has been cemented down it will be quite hard to reach.

The idea is simple as always. I just trim big enough pla plate as the housing and a small one for the c-joint.

Now the bottom will be covered with pla plates and as for the back side I'm still unsure.

Because I have to take into account the articulation of the knee and thigh. I still need to figure out if I want to restrict the movement or not.

And if I do how much should I restrict? And not being able to test these thing surely makes it quite difficult.

Anyway, I start with the big pla plate for the housing and details on the bottom leg. I think this will do and I will proceed with the plan I made.

Next I will prepare the rest of the pla plates and the c-joints. And so this is my updates for today on this Devil Gundam x Neue Ziel Project.
