Hi guys!
Today I will continue on connecting the connectors for hand and arms on my Project Devil Gundam. So here are my updates for today.
Fixed peg
I've cleaned up the surface from the previous connector with the broken peg. Trim off the excess using nipper. File down the surface a little bit then finished it with a sanding sponge.
And voila! New peg is done!

Cleaning up the pla rod excess
This is the other I am working on. I've let the cement cure overnight before I do anything to it.
What I will do next is basically clean up the surface a bit just like I did when I fix the broken peg.

Trimmed off using nipper
As close as I can get, I cut off the excess pla rod using nipper.
Be very careful with stress marks. Depending on what type and brand of nipper you are using, the stress marks will vary.
Mine is a cheap nipper. The first nipper I ever bought so I have to cut a bit far away from the actual surface.

Make sure you have practiced using files a lot. By a lot I mean a lot. Since fixing scratches takes time and resource.
Better to be perfect than keep fixing mistakes.

Test fit with the hand scratch build earlier
I think the hand scratch build looks proportional when compared to the arm. And that small connector there doesn't look awkward at all.
Also the pla rods mark are quite well hidden there, I think the only way to test is to prime the surface later.
The only drawback with this connector is movement is a little bit limited. So posing with the hands is going to be a bit tricky later. But that is for later on when the whole kit is complete.

Different angle here
I think the whole proportion looks great. Not too big. Not too small. Just right!
Notice I haven't trimmed off the pla rod that is sticking out from the hand there. This is just in case I will build up the pla plate layer later.
Although in theory I could replace the pla rods anytime if necessary. I'd rather take precaution before hand.
Basically less work on fixing things for me later.

When pieces come together, I felt all the hard work I've done so far. Grinding, fixing mistake are totally worth it. Although this is quite far away from being done. I am very please on my progress so far. I hope this process I shared with you everyday help you on your personal projects.
So far this is my update for my Project Devil Gundam. Tomorrow I will do finish the other arm. Then do several test fits and maybe try to think of a pose for the diorama later.
