Hello, friends especially DIYers here in HIVE!

Today I would like to share the moving whale which I made last night, it was easy and simple but it is also cute. How to make it was not difficult and only need the materials and things that we have at home.

Materials & Things Needed:

  • Origami paper in blue, pink and black
  • Unused brochure
  • A round object at home like bowl, plate, etc
  • White paper
  • Pencil
  • Ballpoint
  • Glue stick
  • Tooth Pick
  • Double sided tape

How to make it:

First, I copied the round object to the unused brochure with the ballpoint, I cut it off. Then I glued the brochure to the blue origami then cut it too. I also did the same for another blue origami.

Next, I folded it in the middle then draw the tail plus a line in the front, folded inside. Cut the upper part…

Then flipped the tail out. And I also put the double tape behind the front folded part. After that, I draw the white paper to be the bottom part, for the front and also back like below.

Next, I glued it to the whale’s body. Then I cut the eye also the mouth in black.

Glued them to the whale’s face, Then I cut off the pink, cut it for the cheek. I also glued it.

I prepared the splash of water by making the fringe with the white paper, added the double tape there, then wrapped it to the tooth pick.

Last, I cut a bit of the upper part of the whale to put the tooth pick. Voila, the cute moving whale is finished. Now it could rock its’ body like the rocking chair.
