I have been following @theycallmedan on hive for some time now. Noticed that he has posted a new contest on his account. I thought I should give it a shot. You can check out the contest details here.

Here's my entry for the Financial Goals 2021.

Which is going to be your investment strategy for 2021?

Here's how I am planning my 2021.

1. In 2020. I was exposed to various types of blockchains like BCH, DOT, Binance and DASH. I am definitely thinking about extending my portfolio to other coins which are above 20$ USD and higher. Anything that is 0.01 type I am going to reduce investing my time and money into it.
2. I am going to increase my investment into retirement account and mutual fund portfolio. I realized during the pandemic that if this situation happens when I turn 60, I'd have nobody to look upto for money. So increasing my savings this year.
3. I am also looking at real estate apartments as an alternative. Because by purchasing rented flats. I can give them on rent and that would be metered revenue.
4. I am also diversifying my existing portfolio and not limit myself with the debt funds and mid-cap funds. I am also going to experiment with liquid funds.
5. I am going to take out the money from coinbase and all the web wallets. And I am going to move them to the hardware wallets, desktop wallets. This is to save me from any damage that could happen if these companies decided to close the shop.
6. I am also looking at decentralized staking. I just have to watch out for safe DEFI options.
7. Spread myself outside the HIVE blockchain, e.g. Publish0x and Noisecash and Readcash too.
8. Convert a lot of crypto into fiat so that I can come out of financial issues at home.

Do you have any specific assets that you want to invest in?

I can answer this for both crypto and non-crypto. For crypto I am thinking of any asset that has price above 100USD per coin value. And one that has lower transaction fees.

For non-crypto, I am thinking of investing into the real estate a bit more. As of now I don't have any strong land or the apartment investment which I wish to change from this year onwards.

Preferred Investment? Crypto, Real State, Commodities, Stocks?

I am already invested into stocks and mutual funds. I have nothing reasonable investment in Commodities. So my current preference from this year onwards is crypto and real estate.

Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?

I believe what got me here won't take me where I want to go from here onwards. A lot of things needs changing. And I have to take more risk. I have to find out this year what needs to be done differently in order to grow where I want to go with my current set of options.

I want to increase my external freelancing gigs. This way I can have more fiat in my hands instead of just pushing the digital currency. I also need to focus on more offline networking and the consulting job apart from my day job. Pandemic has opened my eyes that I should not be relying on single source of income. So that part also needs to be changed for me this year.

Prediction for HIVE and LEO in 2021

I am pretty new on LEO and yet to spread my wings. So I can't predict anything about LEO. As for HIVE. I think we need more exposure and also we need a lot of content which has engagement. We see a lot of accounts gets sidelines and less exposure while some accounts continue to get the limelight. This way we are pushing the content creators to other places. That needs to change. My prediction is HIVE will stay strong this year and there will be more new content creators coming here through community feature.

I hope a lot of my strategies and the approach would change over time. Considering last year we all have suffered. I just hope things get better for us both financially and also health wise as well.
