I have a story to tell. One guy who was in college once dreamt of becoming passive income content writer. And then he started a blog. And then made sure to add all the income he earned into the bank. He did it successfully for some years. I thought everything would turn out fine. And then adsense started on decline.
First I managed to reach 700 USD from the adsense alone. And that was a good income and I started saving for the retirement and made the investment wisely. Yet I didn't understood the thick and thin of the online web. And turns out the adsense got on the decline.
My account shows the ads and the income has been reduced to zero. 4 years back I had the 373$ worth of the cheque. And then since the incomehas dropped. Things have turned very slow and the life has been towards the efforts turning to dust phase. Most likely the income has been gone slow and nothing has salvaged.
If you are building the income stream with evergreen content, some days it would turn out to dust. Because you can last with that content for a decade and then time changes. And so does the evergreen. What worked in 2012 may not work in 2022. And like that I was having the content since 2009. Which is way old and that is like 14 years worth of old content.
This tells you the reality that each year you have to update the content in such a way that you have the content for the year. So that it would add up and slowly after 10 years, you would have content of the past which may not get searched much but it would stand test of the time. I kind of developed such but it turns out adsense has been dead for those accounts.
So what you should do now? You have an option to keep adding the content into the site. And that site would grow slowly and steadily. Some of that content can make you passive income. And that income in turn would make a good for the investment. I know I have done it but I don't know how to sustain from this point onwards.
I am invested into Hive and the crypto for this reasons. I am investing my crypto income into local investment sources. Which would keep me engaged as I get old and also need of the funds for me there. Some of those funds would turn out to be slow earners but It would be better than my adsense income.
