ChatGPT is a good tool that can help with the programming. It can do a lot of task by borrowing it from the internet. Some of the things it does is basically crawls the web and takes the answer for you and format the same.
Something like this reduces the dependency of the developers and a lot of half baked programmers are going to be removed due to you needing a lot of less people to do the work now. So let's talk if the programmers would be replaced.
In past we used to need like 10 people to develop the web application. Now that we would be having the code support from the AI. There would be option for the users to hire less coders. Because they now can have the skeleton of the code. And they can hire the developers to connect the dots.
Does that mean there will be replacement for the programmers? I don't think so. Instead there would be chances of more block code that would be used by the chatGPT and also the developers would be only using the existing code and working on less salary.
I feel that replacement is not possible because you always need a person to do the surgery. Unless robots becomes stronger to change that there would not be any easy for anyone to replace the programmers just yet. So that's a thing for now.
When machine is not that intelligent and it's just copy pasting. There would be a lot of usage of the boilerplate code. And we would be getting same clutter and also same sort of the bugs. And that means the time to fix them would be something we have to watch out.
I know a lot of people prefer the pre made templates and the code. But that would not be something all the people would be aiming for. Some of the people would be needing strong placement for the code and things would be needing proper attention.
Programmers have to find new ways to stay relevant and also they have to find out new means to get into the industry and stay in there for long.There will be limit for the AI to interfere but we are going to be seeing the life lot different from this end as well.
