My wife's simple source of joy: going to the mall. After a week of sitting in front of her laptop, working, taking snapshots, and analyzing figures, she always looks forward to the weekend because it is the time for her to unwind and relax.
This weekend, she urged me to visit Sta. Lucia. It was raining these past weekends so we have no choice but to stay at home and make ourselves busy with other stuff, but this time we are free to wander!
Our first stop when we reached Sta. Lucia is to buy her a phone case and have it installed with a screen protector. I already have a stall in mind, sort of a "suki" (frequented merchant) and as usual, the stall personnel is so accommodating and helpful. We paid around $5 dollars for the service.
Then we had a quick glance around the furniture section of the mall. As newlyweds, we are aiming to buy a sofa set before the year ends. We have seen a lot of sets that would fit the theme we desire for our humble abode. We're just saving up money until we can purchase one. But as a goal, we are looking forward to sofa sets that cost around $240-320.
Our feet got tired from walking so we decided to sit for a while on a paved surface in the mall. We happen to be in front of a DIY store, which we often go to as well for various home needs. But this time, we didn't bother entering the store because we might end up buying things we don't need at the moment. We just enjoyed sitting there, talking about random things, laughing, and enjoying each other's company even if we are just sitting on the pavement! We headed to the food court for a snack afterward.
Before we hit home, we decided to take a quick grocery trip to replenish supplies. We bought dishwashing liquid, a few condiments, bathroom necessities, some chips, and fruits. But what caught our attention was the pumpkin section - with different sizes and shapes. That was the first time we saw uncommon pumpkins because, in our country, we only have spherical-shaped ones. Halloween is coming! That explains the pumpkin!
It was already dark when we left the grocery store. We took a jeepney home and when we reached Marikina Sportscenter, I can't help but take a snap of this sight. We both remembered that we used to have some of our dates in this place.
Until next weekend wandering!
