Parenting is one of the difficult tasks in the human race. believe you me, teachers and care givers that handle children at school really do good jobs and need to be appreciated.
I used to drop my children at school before going to work and i do picked them up when school is over and drop them with the mother at home.
my wife do return from her place of work before school is over while i do return in the evening time. so this week that they are having mid-term break, my wife will go to her place of work while i will be taking them to my office. O boy! come and see experience that i used to be having when school closes at the time i will still be going to work.
They feel like touching everything in the office, they are pushing clients chairs up and down. oh my God, this children are reciting their rhyme calling me to join them in singing their songs. I will try to make them sleep so that i can do one or two things before noon time. every effort to do that is abortive. they will only sleep at noon almost the time their mother is returning from work. my dear to be a father that give his children fatherhood they need is not an easy thing. so Kudo to all that have indeed fathered their children.
Before i do a little thing my attention will be drawn to them. My dear distraction everywhere and i have to pause and attend to their need. this is indeed the joy of fatherhood. the younger one would be demanding for me to carry her and will be climbing on me dragging my hands on the keyboard. At some points they are nice being with while at some point i would be shouting for them to stop doing certain things in the office.
The joy here is that, they respond to every rebuke, but when my attention is off, they do a different thing entire.
This mid-term break has really awaken the the consciousness of the fatherhood attention that my children need for them to be well trained, disciplined to live a meaningful life in the society not to be handed over to peers to teach them their ways.
Thank God is weekend, no work, so i will be with them and their mother at home listening to their songs, playing with them and helping them to do their home work to get them prepared and ready for school on Monday.
I can't wait for Monday to come so that i will dress them up and drop them in school as usual before going to my place of work.
Thank you for reading my story and for your support, see you in my next post @devoice.
