Hey guys, just wanted to share about this recent collaboration I did with @jeseemei. I was initially asked to make a logo for our homemade food service but since my load was already so full I had to delegate this task to someone else.
I have seen @jeseemei made lots of artworks recently and I kinda liked how her artstyle has been going and I think that will suit the logo better. I gave her some characteristics needed for the character creation (this one's based on Zion, as a chef).
She initially sent me this sketch which I've approved with request for minor adjustments here and there.
She sent me 2 more drafts before sending me the one above, I was satisfied with her finished artwork, so I said I'll take it but will make some adjustments on my own, before I'd make the logo.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the logo she originally made vs the one which I've already enhanced in Adobe Illustrator.
Some of the things that I've enhanced from the original artwork (namely but not limited to):
Changed from sketchy to a more vectorized artwork
Hair shape
Fixes on the face shape
Added more built/width to some body parts
Enhanced the hand positions
When I felt that the character in our logo is good enough, I did some more edits onto it to make it look more like a proper logo.
Some changes I added:
A basic circular background
The words Zyl's Kitchen typed on a circular path using the path tool
Overall cleanup of lines since it has been vectorized
Added a big letter Z at the center of the page
Our Final Logo!
After almost 2 hrs of worktime on this logo, I decided on the final look of it. You can check out the latest from @usagundam's (IG).
Before we go, do enjoy this piece of project mockup using a design template I sourced over the we. I also added a catchphrase to it that says "We make it worthwhile".
