Good day Hive!

My friend recently asked me to commission this piece for her shop and page called "All Purpose Kim". So, I started making this logo using Ibis Paint X on my phone. Here's the first draft I made:

I also have this winking version of the character in the logo, but this one did not make it.

Here's what the draft looked like after I added the placeholder for the wordings:

I did the lineart using a certain textured brush at first, here's a progress photo of it:

I finished the lineart using that textured brush:

But I wasn't satisfied with how it looked like so I had to overhaul the lineart and use a smoother brush. Here's an update after some coloring here and there:

I made changes on the face too. I redid the wordings here in pink but this is still a placeholder:

Added a bit of humour while sending the draft to the client, lol:

This is the finished draft using Ibis Paint X on my phone. I'll add this to Photoshop CC on my desktop to do some color grading and final touches.

This is what it looks like after I added some grading with Photoshop, as well as a temporary background.

I still need to update a few things that I'd like to change, as well as based on client request. Like the following:

  • Eyes should be more curved
  • Whisk should be bigger and have solid lines
  • Change measuring cup into a wooden spoon

Then, I'll send it over to the client one more time, for the meantime here's a look at the currently finished draft:

I still need to add in the wordings for it before I can say this commish is 100% done. Do wait for part 2!

That's all! Thanks!
