There are a lot of aromas that are perpetuated in my olfactory memory and many of them are linked to my childhood, such as the smell of freshly brewed coffee that immediately takes me to the house of my maternal grandparents where we went every weekend to spend the afternoon with them, as soon as we entered the house we could smell the perfume of coffee, the only fact of writing it makes me evoke that instant and I can still see my grandmother behind the kitchen with her strainer while she poured the hot water, she prepared it for the adults, since mom did not allow us to drink this type of infusion when we were children, in spite of it I do not stop relating that smell with the grandparents' house.

Every time I'm about to bake a cake along with some aromatic lemons, vanilla essence and everything else, I start to remember those times when my mother and I worked together. My mother liked to make cakes for our birthday or her nephews', so once or twice a month there was always a cake baking at home for some celebration, and very often she would ask me to be her helper, so always these aromas become so familiar to me.

Not to mention the smell of all the spices such as cloves, cinnamon and guava, very used by mom to make corn chicha that she prepared every December to give to her friends and family, and if I am talking about Christmas time I could not fail to mention the smell of fresh paint, previously in Venezuela it was very common for people to change the paint on the walls of their houses for the festivities of the time, it was almost a tradition, so the whole city was flooded with this particular aroma.

Another particular aroma that I can evoke is the fragrance that mom used, it was Jean Nate, and she perfumed us with Menen brand children's cologne, I think that most Venezuelan children came to use this cologne. My sister and I wore it for a long time.
