Hi hivers,

A few months back in my kitchen I wrapped some lichi seeds which were about to go in dustbin in a wet paper and put it in a box, placing the box in a corner.
Kept checking the box to see any germination in seeds and noticed they are germinating, though it took around 6-8 weeks to get them ready for sowing in soil. May be specially lichi seeds take more time as earlier i had done same with lemon seeds and got the result in 8-10 days.
I had actually 15-16 seeds out of which almost 8-10 seeds germinated. I took out most healthy 2 seeds and sowed them in a pot in a few days I checked rest seeds and sowed some more from the box.

A few days back saw this beautiful sapling coming out from soil showing sighns of growth. My lichi plant is looking enticing now. The leafs have taken shape and started to grow.
Tried this exercise of getting lichi plant from seeds last year also, but none of seeds sowed in soil got emerged as a plant.
Though this plant is too small right now but considering good weather in coming days i m hopeful that it will survive.

I also have lemon, pomegranate, dates, bel patra (wood apple) plants and grapes wine, though none of them give fruits for now, may be in some years I get fruits from some of them.
Even if none of them give fruits I generally like plants and greenery and I get peace staying close to nature.

Thankyou for reading, have a great day.
