This was the message showing up in my mind as the kids got 2 weeks holiday from school.
That made me booking a flight for tomorrow. Yes, sometimes you need to make crazy decisions to keep the family smiling.
Just a few hours later and 99€ less in each ones pocket we arrive at the island Sal at Cabo Verde. Some nice and damn relaxed islands close to Africa.
Have a quick read or follow the link from my source for more information.
Cape Verde or Cabo Verde, officially the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an archipelago and island country in the central Atlantic Ocean, consisting of ten volcanic islands with a combined land area of about 4,033 square kilometres (1,557 sq mi).
These islands lie between 600 and 850 kilometres (320 and 460 nautical miles) west of Cap-Vert, the westernmost point of continental Africa. The Cape Verde islands form part of the Macaronesia ecoregion, along with the Azores, the Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Savage Isles.
Fish is the main food here and a lot of life is ongoing around the pier where the fishermen deliver the fresh fish….
… and the catch a lot of delicious fish as you see here.
Yepp, a lot white sand and it seems the “Strela” might be a beer brand I have to investigate. Stay tuned for more beer news.
Looks a bit lost but at the evening a lot young locals did their workout.
Overlooking the beach, this pool invites for a cool swim. Did it!
…. do you hear that secret message?
I did!
Nothing really special but cold and very good drinkable while you have you feeds in this nice white sand.
A perfect afternoon refreshment after a day of walking the island.
