El Día del Padre del año pasado me dejó un grato recuerdo que jamás olvidaré, mis padres siempre han sido poco dados a las celebraciones, aún así para ese día me sorprendieron con una invitación a almorzar en su hogar. Ese día, como soy una persona que suele realizar sus actividades en horario nocturno, me levanté un poco tarde, lo que generó cierta preocupación entre mis familiares.
Last year's Father's Day left me with a pleasant memory that I will never forget, my parents have always been little given to celebrations, yet on that day they surprised me with an invitation to lunch at their home. That day, as I am a person who usually carries out my activities at night, I got up a little late, which generated some concern among my family.
En casa de mis padres, al ver que no llegaba, comenzaron a llamarme insistentemente a mí y a mi novia, sin imaginar que yo aún dormía. Finalmente, tras varias llamadas perdidas y mensajes, me desperté, me alisté rápidamente y salí a comprar algunos aperitivos para la ocasión.
At my parents' house, when they saw that I didn't arrive, they started calling me and my girlfriend insistently, without imagining that I was still sleeping. Finally, after several missed calls and messages, I woke up, quickly got ready and went out to buy some snacks for the occasion.
Al llegar, la comida estaba casi lista y me encontré con mi hermana y cuñado, la casa estaba llena de alegría, con música, risas y bebidas, es decir, había una pequeña celebración familiar. Me sorprendió, ya que en mi familia no es costumbre celebrar fechas especiales de ningún tipo.
When I arrived, the food was almost ready and I met my sister and brother-in-law, the house was full of joy, with music, laughter and drinks, that is, there was a small family celebration. I was surprised, since in my family it is not customary to celebrate special dates of any kind.
Comprendí entonces el porqué de la insistencia de mis padres, el ambiente cálido y festivo me hizo entender que estaban en un ambiente de celebración y querían que yo formara parte de eso. Almorzamos en familia, escuchando las historias de mi papá y compartiendo anécdotas. Mi novia incluso había preparado una pequeña decoración para la ocasión.
I then understood the reason for my parents' insistence, the warm and festive atmosphere made me understand that they were in an atmosphere of celebration and they wanted me to be part of that. We had lunch as a family, listening to my dad's stories and sharing anecdotes. My girlfriend had even prepared a small decoration for the occasion.
La tarde paso entre risas, historias y música, creando un ambiente familiar único, in día que pensé que sería como cualquier otro, se transformó en una sorpresa inolvidable, un día que me recordó la importancia de la familia y los pequeños detalles, que pueden convertir un día ordinario en uno extraordinario.
The afternoon passed between laughter, stories and music, creating a unique family atmosphere, a day that I thought would be like any other, became an unforgettable surprise, a day that reminded me of the importance of family and the small details that can turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.
