@thesocalhive I head out for a short hike along... With the warmer temperatures melting all the snow we received this winter all the creeks are flowing good. So I decided to go up to City Creek, off highway 330 in the San Bernardino mountains, for a hike. I parked at the ranger station and then headed down the closed road to where it meets the creek.

From there I started making my way upstream. It was really overgrown and the water was flowing strong so it was slow going, but I enjoyed the challenges and was really just happy to be out in nature on such a beautiful day. The canyon was green with spring growth and I found some nice fresh herbs to collect along the hike. Eventually I arrived at an open rocky area with a beautiful set of small waterfalls each with a nice pool. I made my way to the upper pool and then spent some time relaxing there. After a little bit I decided to jump in the water and cool off. It was REALLY cold, but it was a hot day so it actually felt pretty good.

After my swim I dried off and tossed back on my pack. From the falls I scouted out a route directly up and out the steep (and quite treacherous) south side of the canyon eventually meeting a dirt road that I was able to follow back down to the back side of the ranger station.
