This picture was taken 12MAR2018, my satellite faces S, so a 90DEG angle created by the face of the dish is pointing to the W (it is hard to tell from the angle I took the pic from but the tree, almost in the middle, is directly W), the sun is setting about 22.5 DEG S of SW. So within less than 10 days the sun has moved +22.5DEG.
What does all of this mean? As we get closer to the equinox I look to the sky and, I am amazed that the Sun is rising due East. The sun should rise due East at the equator on the vernal equinox, not here on the Missouri border. The sun should be at about may be 20-30DEG South of due West, yet it's due West The norm for the equinox here is an increase of about one half of the sunlight we will be getting at the summer solstice. This is not some weird pagan ritual, it is our procession through our solar system and, for me, marks the time which spring plants should be in the ground. Though the air is still cool, it is warm enough to produce germination, with both warmth, spring rain and light.
The Earth marches along throughout the solar system each and every year giving the earth it's seasons and the plants are tuned into the regularity of this procession. With my background in math and science, I started thinking about how our ancestors knew when to start their gardens. If you do some research you will find that most ancient civilizations planted by the number of moons between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Choosing to plant different crops at different time to coincide with the dance of the Earth and Sun. The spring equinox was a celebration of the new season and a celebration of the first crop growth.
The Catholics, during the crusades, decided to stop this celebration, by calling it a worshiping of the sun. When in all actuality it was a celebration of our change of seasons and the ability to start crops on a regular routine. Why would the Catholic establishment want to stop a celebration of a new planting season? It was due to the fact that the people who were paying attention to the movements of the Sun, stars, Moon and planets were not utilizing the calendar which they wanted them to. They were living in harmony with the planet. Much the way the American Indians were. As we all are aware, living in harmony with anything is strictly forbidden even in this day and age.
This, of course, was done by force. Still, why? I believe once you understand the mechanics of our solar system, you are free to have larger harvests, and have insight into what is happening naturally. The Catholics also wanted their system to be used as a tool for oppression. I know wow that's a leap. Well if you look at how hard the catholic church worked to implement their calendar throughout the modern world you would be amazed.
The catholic church also jailed Galileo and countless others if they even studied the sky. By killing people who did not follow their system they forced people to acquiesce to their disconnected system. This, in my opinion, was no love for God (my father and savior) it was love for themselves, power and money. It was during this time that the Bible was rewritten so many times in order to accentuate the desires of the ruling class. This is also why there are so many different christian religions. Those who saw what was happening and went against the, then all powerful, catholic church, Started new sects and were forced to fight for what they believed in, many times to the death.
Ok enough about Catholicism, back on task. The equinox, is by definition the time of the year when the sun rises in the East, at the equator, and sets in the West, at the equator. This specific event happens twice a year, Spring and Fall equinoxes. Don not mix them up with the solstices, solstices are the time of year when the sun is at is highest in the sky and lowest in the sky. So starting in spring, because we are here, the sun crosses the equator at due E<> due W, which would be the middle amount of sun you will receive up until the summer solstice when you will receive the most amount of sun. From the solstice in summer the sun begins to fall south in the sky and daylight diminishes, right up to the fall equinox, where the sun again crosses the equator due E <> due W. Once passed the fall equinox, the sun continues its journey south in the sky, where here on the border of Missouri it will rise in the SE and set in the SW. After the winter solstice the Sun begins it's rise North toward the E<>w path (here in the Ozarks) at the summer solstice again.
Using this knowledge you can clearly see that planting times are best not managed by the Catholic calendar, the planting times are best archived, outdoors, with a solid foundation based on the path of the Sun. This is not witchery, it is science. The method of planting crops by the mechanics of the Sun was given to us by God, the calendar was not. I have found that sowing by the calendar of the heavens reaps better and higher yield crops.
While I get much criticism about my methods, I hold steadfast. My garden is always bountiful and my yields are beyond what my neighbors reap.

While most people are happier as the sun increases in frequency during the day, the catholic church decided that those that celebrated the coming of more sun were "sun worshipers" and set out to destroy them, which forced their rule over the civil society.
Today, we still see the effects of this barbarianism. People do not pay any attention to the actual sky, instead they only look to the calendar which is given to them. They pay attention to many different calendars, in fact most watch the internet and other sources for their, limited, understanding of the reality that is going on in the sky. People will argue with you because the calendar says this is where things are supposed to be. Meanwhile, the calendar they are watching is on the internet and built on a logarithm that is based on current data not historical data. Also since people are so used to looking at a calendar, they have forgot what the sky should look like at this time of year.
