@derangedvisionsThese past two weeks have sucked pretty bad at our house. With me crashing on my OneWheel, my wife being sick and then our daughter getting sick and having to be tested for COVID, there have been A LOT of trips to the hospital. Oh, and our son got in a car accident in a parking lot a few nights ago. He is fine, but his car and the other car have some damage.
We aren't looking forward to getting our bills for all of this crap over the past two weeks and it will be interesting to see how much it all costs. I haven't been at work the past two weeks and it sounds like my disability insurance through my work is trying to fight against having to pay me for the time I have been away. The whole purpose of the insurance is to cover for stuff like this, but I guess insurance companies gotta look after themselves and screw over the people that pay them.
At least I got to spend some time with my wife and we both didn't have to worry about work for a while.
@derangedvisionsIt has been nice being able to just spend time together this past while and just wake up whenever we want to and kind of do our own thing. Yesterday, our whole family played Cards Against Humanity together, and it was kind of odd hearing my kids say some of the stuff on the cards. We had an awesome time together though and I am glad that we have been able to become closer as a family through all of this.
@derangedvisionsA few weeks ago, I got some little greenhouse kits and grow lights because I wanted to try and plant some flowers indoors and see what my skills at indoor gardening was like. I mainly got all this crap because the lights were marked down from $40 to $3 and the greenhouse kits were only $2.
@derangedvisionsI was super excited today to open everything up and get my greenhouses started. Keiichi was excited as well. Mainly the greenhouse kit was the perfect size for him to sit in. I swear, this cat is a huge weirdo and thinks he has to try and sit in everything. When we were playing Cards Against Humanity, he tried sitting in one of the card boxes by just putting his front paws in it. I think he mainly just wants to be around us because we are so awesome.
@derangedvisionsAnyways, I got my little disc thingies all ready and started reading the instructions and I have to put my own seeds in there... Well that is dumb because I thought there were already seeds in each one and all I needed to do was add water. So basically I have already failed at my indoor gardening. Hopefully I will be able to find some seeds to plant, but with it being so late in the season, it could be hard to find the flower seeds.
@derangedvisionsSo I guess I can't play gardener for a while, but at least I got a house full of awesome people and animals to spend time with. Only a few more days left to relax and then I will be back at work with limited mobility. I was supposed to be getting an MRI on Monday to see if I tore my meniscus, but I cancelled it because I don't feel like paying $500 for the MRI and have it come back all fine. I will just have to keep taking it easy and slow. But don't worry, it shouldn't be too long before I am back on my OneWheel cruising around.
