My granddaddy purple is continuing to grow and it is quickly trying to take over inside my tent. It is crazy that my 4x4 tent is becoming so crowded because of this one.
I ended up cutting the two top fan leaves off because these massive leaves were blocking pretty much all the light to the lower branches. One of my red poisons was ready for the dark last night, so I moved it out of the tent and now there is a bit more breathing room in there for all of the plants. Over the next few days, I am expecting the other red poison to be ready.
With the two top fan leaves gone, the lower leaves will be able to soak up more of the light. I am expecting to be switching this one over for flower in about a month. Then I will have another 60-65 days that it flowers.
Once I get the rest of these out of the tent, I will probably be setting up the scrog to help support the branches during flower because I have a feeling they are going to get pretty heavy. The good thing is the GDP already has some fairly sturdy branches on it. Even the branches from the two fan leaves I just cut are thicker than some of the branches the red poison has that is supporting its buds.
I am super excited for GDP. It is a super famous strain and is perfect for sleep, pain, and muscle relaxation. It has a ton of great medicinal purposes and I can't wait to try it out in a few months. Hopefully this plant has some cool colors on it during flower. It is supposed to have dark purples and have a lot of snowy peaks of trichomes. It is gonna be awesome.
